There are many mobile phones available in Nepal that cost less than NPR 30,000. Some options include the Samsung Realme 9 nazro, Realme 9, Redmi Note 11, Samsung Galaxy A22, Redmi Note 11S 5G.
Best mobile phones under 30000 in Nepal
1. Realme 9i
We are starting this list with Realme 9i. It is the first phone to launch under Realme’s latest number series. That being said, it has one of the best-looking designs, especially the Prism Blue option that we reviewed. However, the phone does pick up a lot of smudges and is void of any sort of IP rating.
The rest of the secs are pretty average. It comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset (6nm), which is quite common in this price range today. The 50MP primary camera is another of Realme 9i’s features that is getting popular in this particular segment. The phone skips on an ultrawide shooter, though. In addition, it gets a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
Realme 9i Specifications:
- Display: 6.6″ FHD+ IPS LCD, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6nm Mobile Platform)
- Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable up to 1TB)

- Front Camera: 16MP (punch-hole)

- Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging
- Price: Rs. 27,999 (6/128GB)
2. Realme Narzo 50
Next up we have the Realme Narzo 50. It is the only phone on this list to come with a 120Hz refresh rate. That being said, it doesn’t have an AMOLED panel, which many phones have started to offer in this price range.
Keeping that aside, this screen also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate and 600 nits of brightness. Under the hood, it packs the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, which should be enough for casual gaming.
Over on the back, it features a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary, 2MP monochrome, and a 2MP macro camera.
If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because the Realme Narzo 50 is heavily based on last year’s Realme 8i. It is on this list over the others because it is cheaper and comes with 33W fast charging.
Realme Narzo 50 Specifications:
- Display: 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD, 120Hz, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G96 4G (12nm Mobile Platform)
- Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM (up to 5GB virtual RAM)
- Storage: 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11
- Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, B&W portrait, 4cm macro)
- Front Camera: 16MP (punch-hole)
- Security: Side-mounted fingerprint sensor
- Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging
- Price: Rs. 27,499 (6/128GB)
3. Redmi Note 11
If you want the best multimedia experience at a minimum budget, Redmi Note 11 is the way to go. It’s the cheapest phone in Nepal to come with a 90Hz AMOLED screen with an FHD+ screen. Phones in this price range usually compromise on at least one of the three criteria. Moving on, the stereo speakers on this phone are equally impressive.
Likewise, the 5,000mAh battery combined with a power-efficient 5nm chip amount to a considerable battery backup. As a result, you will hardly run into low battery when binge-watching your favorite show on Netflix. Even if you do end up in a similar scenario, the 33W box included in the box can completely fill up the phone in a little more than an hour.
The two aspects where Redmi Note 11 fails to impress are gaming and photography. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 even falls behind the Snapdragon 678 when it comes to gaming. Likewise, we found the Note 11’s cameras to be unreliable at times, though they appear to be amongst the most complete setup on paper.
Redmi Note 11 Specifications:
- Display: 6.43 FHD+ AMOLED, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, 1000 nits (peak), 90Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 (6nm Mobile Platform)
- Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: MIUI 13 on top of Android 11
- Rear Camera: Quad-camera; (50MP ISOCELL JN1, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
- Front Camera: 13MP, f/2.4 lens (punch-hole)
- Security: Side-mounted fingerprint sensor
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS L1 / Glonass G1 / Beidou B1 / Galileo E1, USB Type-C, 4G LTE
- Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (33W charger inside the box)
- Price in Nepal: Rs. 27,999 (6/128GB)
4. Samsung Galaxy A22
The next entry in our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal is Samsung Galaxy A22. It was launched last year but still holds its ground today. The phone borrows a lot of inspiration from the company’s other entries in this price bracket.
It is the only one to bring OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) camera on this list. As a result, you’ll be able to shoot stable videos and decent nighttime shots from the Samsung Galaxy A22. Other highlights include a 6.4″ 90Hz Super AMOLED display and 48MP quad-cameras.
While the A22 shines in a lot of aspects, it does fall short in a few others. For instance, the phone only sports an HD resolution. To note, Galaxy A22 is the only entry in this list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal to feature an inferior HD resolution.
Apart from the flaws, the Galaxy A22 has an attractive design—and it’s probably the best-looking phone on this list.
Samsung Galaxy A22 Specifications:
- Display: 6.4-inches 90Hz HD+ Super AMOLED panel
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G80 (12nm Mobile Platform)
- Memory: 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB internal storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI Core 3.1 on top
- Rear Camera: Quad (48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, 2MP depth)
- Front Camera: 13MP sensor (notch)
- Fingerprint sensor: Physical (side-mounted)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, AGPS / GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / Beidou, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic, Virtual Light, Virtual Proximity
- Battery: 5000mAh battery with 15W Charging
- Price in Nepal: Rs. 27,999 (6/128GB)
5. Realme 9
We can’t complete this list without mentioning the Realme 9 4G. It has the best design of all the phones on this list. It is slim and lightweight and can easily fit into your pocket. The ripple holographic design looks good too, especially in the Stargaze White variant.
Realme 9 4G brings the same-sized Super AMOLED display as its predecessor. It also retains the 90Hz refresh rate, while also boasting a smoother 360Hz touch-sampling rate. The screen even hosts an optical in-display fingerprint scanner giving that premium feel.
As for photography, it is the first phone to feature Samsung’s new 108MP HM6 sensor. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone is fueled by a 5,000mAh cell and supports fast charging of up to 33W.
On the downside, you only get a single speaker here and the Snapdragon 680 chip means it does not fare well for intensive workloads, especially gaming.
Realme 9 Specifications:
- Display: 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED, 90Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1000 nits peak brightness
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6nm Mobile Platform)

Finally, the gold medal in our list of best phones under NPR 30000 in Nepal goes to Xiaomi’s Redi Note 11S. The main highlight of this phone is its 108MP primary camera, which no other phone offers in this price range. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth camera.
The display specifications are also equally impressive. Here, you get a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. In addition, the screen boasts 1000 nits of peak brightness. The front of the screen is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3—while it also has IP53 dust and water resistance.
Under the hood, it packs the Helio G96 chipset, which is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone gets its juice from a 5,000mAh cell that supports 33W fast charging. Xiaomi even includes a charger in the box.
